Business Sale Update

Sweet Temptations Cupcakery is founded on celebrations, and what a celebration today is! After a nearly six week bidding process, we have found a new owner! A huge thank you to everyone who shared, commented and liked our posts – without you we would not have been able to reach as many people and potentially would not have connected with our great new prospective owner!

Our business was posted for sale at the end of June as we hoped to find the right combination of entrepreneur – baker – go getter to carry the torch. We were looking for someone to take our storefront and food truck to the next level – and we found someone awesome! Not only does this person have an enthusiasm for baking but the right business acumen to accelerate and improve on our growing small business.

What does this mean? What are the next steps?

We are open, business as usual, throughout this whole process. Every day we are baking fresh cupcakes to be a part of your special events. We need you to continue to support us like you always have, placing orders and making plans with our sweet treats. We are especially looking to serve you at your office party, summer picnic or staff appreciation day. It would mean a lot to us – we’d love to send you a free quote for your company event. When can we expect a change?

The business transition period will likely take place in late October and early November. This means we have many months to welcome the new leader and transition smoothly between ownership. Every day we are giving out quotes for weddings, parties, showers and special events for late 2018 and 2019 – so let us offer our services for you!

When will Jakki transition out?

The anticipated timeline is just prior to Christmas 2018. Needless to say, Sweet Temptations Cupcakery services will remain unchanged throughout this time and of course Jakki will be a part of the support and planning for the new owner.

How can I help/where can I find more information?

Stay connected with us online through our social media channels, Instagram (@Sweet_T_Cakes), Facebook and Twitter. Know that we will periodically send out newsletter emails too – so if you don’t already subscribe to our newsletter, please email us at jacqueline@sweettemptations.ca so we can enrol you!

The best way to help us through this process is to continue to support our business. Pop in and purchase cupcakes, treat a friend who is having a bad day. A half dozen cupcake surprise is an affordable way to show you care, and are thinking of the.

Invite us to your company event – we’d love to be there.
